Lidar is an advanced detection method which combines laser technology with modern photoelectric detection technology. It consists of transmitting system, receiving system and information processing. The working principle of lidar is laser as a signal source, the laser emits a pulse laser, hit the vehicle, road, pedestrian, part of the light wave will be reflected to the lidar receiver, according to the principle of laser ranging calculation, get the distance from the lidar to the target point.

 

Compared with ordinary millimeter radar, Lidar because of the use of laser beam, the working frequency is much higher than microwave, so it brings a lot of advantages, mainly: high resolution, strong anti-active interference ability, small size, light weight. However, the laser inside the lidar and the high power density chip will generate a lot of heat when working. If the excess heat is not discharged in time, it will lead to the damage of the equipment, which greatly increases the probability of driving accidents. Therefore, fast lidar internal heat export, it is particularly important.

 

The PCBA and laser of Lidar generate a lot of heat in the working process. Through thermal conductive interface materials or graphite materials with high thermal conductivity, the heat can be quickly transferred to the metal shell or radiator, which can effectively reduce the resistance in the heat conduction process, so as to effectively improve the working efficiency of electronic devices and ensure the driving safety.
